چکیده
Abstract Laminarin is a source of immunostimulants and antioxidative biomolecules involved in supporting the performance health aquatic animals. Hence, this study investigated growth performance, intestinal morphology, blood biomarkers, immune response Thinlip Grey Mullet ( Liza ramada ) fed dietary laminarin. For 60 days, mullets were diets supplemented with laminarin at 0, 200, 400, 600, 800 mg kg −1 , then was evaluated, samples collected. The FBW, WG, SGR, PER, carcass lipid content markedly increased, while FCR significantly lowered by 600 . Further, lipase protease activities higher than those histopathological evaluation revealed that all layers villi wall appeared intact without any deteriorating changes. mucosal lining anterior middle segments showed improved morphological appearance increased goblet cells associated level. total protein, globulin, cholesterol fish 400 Furthermore, lysozyme, catalase, glutathione peroxidase laminarin-free diet. superoxide dismutase 0 On other hand, malondialdehyde activity decreased Overall, required 338–761 to reveal best antioxidative, mullets.

Gonadal Disorder in the Thinlip Grey Mullet (Liza ramada, Risso 1827) as a Biomarker of Environmental Stress in Surface Waters
The aim of this study was to evaluate the use of gonadal alterations in the thinlip grey mullet (Liza ramada) as a biological indicator in assessing aquatic ecosystems health, with particular emphasis to river ecosystems exposed to sewage discharges. For this purpose, the reproductive status and the presence of gonadal alterations were studied in 206 mullets collected from two sites on the low ...

This study was conducted to investigate the effects of dietary inclusion of the encapsulated thyme essential oil (TEO), oregano essential oil (OEO) mixture and probiotic on growth performance, immune response and intestinal morphology of broiler chickens. A total of 490 one-day-old Ross 308 broiler chicks were randomly divided into seven treatments consisting of five replicates (n=14). Birds we...
متن کاملToxicity of dispersant application: Biomarkers responses in gills of juvenile golden grey mullet (Liza aurata).
Dispersant use in nearshore areas is likely to increase the exposure of aquatic organisms to petroleum. To measure the toxicity of this controversial response technique, golden grey mullets (Liza aurata) were exposed to mechanically dispersed oil, chemically dispersed oil, dispersant alone in seawater, water-soluble fraction of oil and to seawater as a control treatment. Several biomarkers were...
متن کاملFlow cytometric determination of genome size in European seabass (Dicentrarchus labrax), gilthead seabream (Sparus aurata), thinlip mullet (Liza ramada), and European eel (Anguilla anguilla)
The nuclear DNA content in Dicentrarchus labrax, Sparus aurata, Liza ramada, and Anguilla anguilla, was measured by flow cytometric analysis. Male human leukocytes were used as internal reference cells. Nucleated fish erythrocytes were stained simultaneously to human leukocytes with a staining buffer containing propidium iodide (PI). Nuclear DNA contents of target species were estimated in rela...

This study was carried out to investigate the effects of dietary putrescine (PUT) on broiler’s response fed low crude protein (CP) diets. A total of 192 male day old chicks were fed with four dietary treatments including two levels of PUT (0 and 0.03%) and two levels of CP (normal and low) with factorial combinations. Weekly growth performance, nutrient digestibility and intestinal morphology (...
